Hillier Garden Centre, Pevensey, East Sussex

Hillier Nurseries, Britain's premier growers of hardy garden plants for garden centres throughout the UK, approached C Jacksons & Sons in late 2010 to discuss the rebuilding of their existing centre at Eastbourne.

This was the first project of its kind that Hillier had undertaken. They had already devised plans for plant tables and benches to go under canopy areas prior to consulting with C Jacksons, but these were improved upon by drawing on Jacksons expertise in the production of garden centre equipment.

Following a similar production schedule to that at the Flixton Garden Centre, the installation should have been completed in 3 days but inclement weather resulted in the team working around the builders’ itinery in order to keep as close to the intended schedule as possible.
